Unit 65 Wyoming

Looking at doing a DIY deer hunt in the north portion of Medicine Bow NF in unit 65 SW of Douglas. Wondering if anyone can give me any information on the area? Thank you in advance!

Lots of private but some good public access via HMA and walkin. Deer numbers may not be high but should have some good bucks. We hunt unit south of there and numbers are lower but big mature bucks can be found. BuzzH perhaps has some better info on that particular unit. I would imagine the Casper hunters hit it pretty good.

Would you say there are more whitetail or mule deer?

I know the south end is more mule deer and I suspect it is the same all over the area. Some whitetails for sure. Laramie Peak will be mule deer.
