A buttload of butthurt is coming to fruition this November....

We still have a lot of great things to be proud of, but the gap between the haves and have nots is bigger than ever and is a far bigger factor than some give it credit for.

Doesn't help when we have a President who is openly hawking trinkets for money, building gold ballrooms, telling the american people that growing prices arent real, all while making over 2 BILLION dollars through grift that would make Boss Tweed blush.

And back to Ukraine...theres a clear tie there too. The business relationship Trump and his friends have with Russia is the reason the US hasnt granted Ukraine the weapons it needs to end the war.

The resolve and patriotism Ukrainian leaders and resistance fighters have shown against an oppressive, child stealing communist regime is incredible, and something this country used to celebrate.

The potential for the US to benefit from Ukraines resources by helping them is large...but it helps the people, it doesnt make more money for the Trumps.

Hopefully it does not. Whether or not people choose to notice or sweep it under the rug remains to be seen.

I would say that direct military actions in Poland are very unlikely, "lost drones" or any other "mishaps" more likely. Belarus is distancing itself from Russia, tensions are growing internally, Muscovites feeling the effects of the war at home, etc, etc, etc. NATO has troops deployed in Poland and the Baltic states, attacking any of those countries would likely involve other NATO forces, and trigger a rapid NATO response, as opposed to attacking other NATO countries such as Georgia. These NATO troops are under a unified NATO command, and I am not sure how parent-country politics would play into a direct conflict on Alliance partners currently deployed in the area. I'm sure the respective NATO Battle Groups have orders, ROEs, and clear and concise guidance from their home countries for this exact scenario, regarding their respective areas of responsibilities. I wouldn't be surprised if some NATO forces were to be held back based on politics were something to happen, but I strongly believe the bulk of the Alliance would respond. Canada who commands the Latvia multi-national Battle Group, like many other NATO countries, has invested and plans on investing a crap ton of money locally. Bottom line, several NATO stakeholders are cementing their footprint in Europe to deter or react to, this exact scenario.

But you should always be careful around a wounded animal trapped in a corner. Russia's leadership knows things aren't going well and internal issues/pressure could lead to an actual Russian defeat, or them doing something extremely stupid: ie direct military actions against a NATO country. Who knows what can happen next?!

Regardless of what happens, once Putin dies, I fear there will be a significant power vacuum with ripples being felt throughout the region.

That's pretty rich. A half decent Secretary of State could have talked the president out of starting this mess in Iran.

You brought up little Marco's competence. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is not the fault of the US. The blame lays at Russia's feet. If Marco was competent he would have brought his pro NATO sentiments to bear, in this war. Ukraine might have prevailed by now, if we continued supporting their efforts.

Marco looks totally dejected in that video, and you know it.

That was the first time I heard of oneindia news. The dramatic music and computer generated dialog was kind of creepy.

Russia started it. Many in congress wanted to help Ukraine end it--it isn't a classic partisan issue--which would have benefited the US as well. But Trump influenced republicans to sit on their hands and do very little.

Trumps direct ties to Russia--and indications they have embarrassing dirt on him and his actions/behaviors--may not have started the war, but Putin had ample reason to believe he could count on Trump not to intervene to help end it.

And by the way, this extends back to Trumps first term.
