The plan was to hold out for good birds as my last three merriams were 20, 21 and 21 pounds with 8 8 1/2 and 9 1/4 inch beards. But I had 7 jakes come in at the same time gobbling and at 10 yards two of them lined up just right. BANG two birds with one shot. With the 8 shells left in my box of ammo that should be 16 more birds:D . At one point they were at 35 yards and I think I could have killed all seven!!! After knocking two down the rest ran off about 15 more yards with that ou shiitttttt!! look on there face. It was worth burning both tags at once on jakes.

Congrats Hntnhrd! I only shoot jakes myself :D . Last year I could have whacked a half dozen jakes with one shot too but I only had one tag. Looking back it was one of the coolest things to ever be a part of. Gobbling jakes so close it gave me the chills. Great pics!

Dude, we were be run over by jakes this year also. The tom's were hung up with the hens and not leaving them for a second. Every time we set up the jakes would come in as soon as they thought it was safe.
