If you haven't upgraded but have looked and know what you would buy, I'm all for that info too !!!

I am looking at making a similar decision. I am currently leaning toward the DLP technology. That will likely put me to Sharp or Samsung, and then it is just a matter of how many Benjamins I want to part with. I think 56 is the low end and 65 is the high end.

Depends on what Costco will have in stock.

I think Bestbuy.com has a pretty good "edcuation" page that explains the technology and the advantages.

As for your "Other", it has to be Wide Screen and HDTV (not just "ready")

Let me know when you get ready to buy, and we can get them together and haul them and install them....

Here is TExas Instrument's page (they invented DLP) http://www.dlp.com/dlp_technology/default.asp

And here is a TV edjumacation page from Crutchfield...

Hey bro. Talk to Jeff at Circuit City. He and I spent an afternoon together on a field trip. He knows more about TVs I think, than most people know about their own kids. Plus he's a real stand-up guy and in my opinion a sweetie to boot.

P.S. One thing I remember he told me was that plasmas are a bad idea. Lots of customer dissatisfaction.

Leaning towards MAX compensation .....

65"s of Fury..........

I would do DLP or LCD. Either would be a good choice. I have CRT and they are space hogs due to the cabinet depth, but they are still the very best picture.

....about $50 per inch? Aren't you Idahoan's eye too close together for the widescreens? ;) :D

Unlike the Texas Boys that have Sheep balls on their Chins so they talk funny ? ;) :D

It's actually roughly 1802" Sq. Which Equates to About $0.72/In Sq.
Not a Bad price if you look at it that way ?? ;)

:D :D :D :D ..."Sheep, I'm not thinking of sheep."

Not a bad price at all...that's roughly what I paid for a Sony Wang (pronounced Vong) with surround.

Not sure. they said 20 days on the webpage but I haven't got a Conformation Email yet......

Did a search of Song Wang and Found nothing...... ?

OHHHH yah, Suround Sound..... Jose, Whats the Info Again ?> I need to pick me up some of that stuff too....... I'f I'm gunna Go to Bankup-court, Might as well do it right . ;)

Webpage? So does that mean you and Jose didn't have your little shopping day together? :D

Y'all could've gone to lunch and still got your nails done too. ;)

Actually Jose and Me did go out to costco.... the TV's were cool but didn't look as nice as the Ones at BestBuy with the lower lighting. The Incondesant Luminairs put to many Foot Candles on the Screen for a Dull effect.

We then had Pizza and a POP at Costco, So it was like a Date :)

I came back to work, filled out a Costco card and today I got the Number Via Email and made my first purchase.... They say you can't walk out of the Store without dumping a Hundy' or two ;)
