Turks and Caicos

Just got back from a week at Turks and Caicos, had never even heard of the place before my wife and I got invited to go with another couple. Anyone else been down there? Pretty undeveloped, but amazing beaches and snorkeling. Best snorkeling we have ever done with lots of turtles, rays and several varieties of sharks. Even had an 8 foot lemon shark swim under and around the dock/restaurant as we were eating dinner one night.

My wife and I honeymooned there in 2008. We loved it. It is not a popular destination for those of us in the US - I really liked everything about it.

We got a kitchen in our resort room and cooked as much local fare as possible. Also ate at a great restaurant (Hemingway's, I think).

Too many things to mention, but scuba diving, snorkeling etc was very fun. We need to go back.

Good call on the kitchen, grocery prices were pretty steep and restaurants were way spendy
