Looking for a good combo on this...not wanting to spend a fortune like an Outdoorsman though. I'm handing down the one I have to my daughter to use for her bino's. So I'm looking at one for a spotter.
I was looking at Vanguard PH-113v Panhead, and I like the way it moves...so much so that I actually got it and put it on my Slik Pro II, but it didn't seem to want to lock down.
So then I looked at the VANGUARD Abeo 243AV Tripod which you can buy in combination with it. But this thing is like 26 inches long packed, and almost 5 lbs with the head. I'm under 3lbs with this head and my Slik Pro II.
Anyways...I would like a good combo that would keep me under 3lbs, and for sure under 20 inches...under 18 inches would be even better.
Also within reason on price...like $300 or less for both.
