What do all of you do when it comes to transporting game through multiple states? Wyoming says that you must leave proof of sex naturally attached or have the head. But then I know that North Dakota requires that you only have boned out meat. What do you do in that type of situation?

I think you have to have proof of sex naturally attached AND have the head in Wyoming. I know the head by itself doesn't cut it.

I leave the penis attached to one of the hindquarters by a scrap of skin and stick it in a baggie and zip tie it shut then toss the hole mess in the cooler along with everything else. I generally bring 3 medium sized coolers. You can bone out the quarter and leave the penis or udder attached.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife has a video on their website that shows and explains the field dressing and quartering of an elk step by step. Its very imformative. They even explain and show what they consider evidence of sex is, according to Colorado. Here's the url:

The head removed from the quarters doesn't count as evidence of sex in any western state that I know of.
