Tired of the wind

I'm glad you are out there trapping, but just because you can put photos of live animals in trap on the internet doesn't mean you should.

I'm not offended by the photos nor your effeminate sig pic. Too much pc on the other hand....

Next post I'll put "trapping pictures" in the title so you don't have to open it. Sorry I'm damn proud of what I do and I'm not going to hide it. Predator control is something that is very much needed.

Brokel, congrats on the work. If I may (please don't see this as me trying to start a fight), but I think belly-deep is trying to say (agreed it could have been said better) is that many those that do not agree with hunting and trapping can misinterpret the post and possibly use it as ammunition in their fight against us. I completely understand that everyone being tired of PC, but unfortunately that is the world we live in and us being frustrated is not going to make it better, only worse. In the past I haven't paid much attention to my harvest pictures either, but after listening to a number of Big Fin's podcasts (one in particular on the "grip & grin" photos we all take) over the last month I have a much better appreciation for my need to carefully craft my message both here and on social media. The vast majority of Hunttalk members understand your post, but its not just us that can see it. I'm probably preaching to choir, and would like to reiterate that I am not trying to start a fight.

I'm open to your thoughts.

My thoughts are the "ammunition" argument doesn't hold much water as the antis fabricate the message they want to put out there no matter if they find pictures or they create their own which happens more than them stealing pictures off the internet.

I have no problem looking at the photos. But I don't like giving the antis a club to hit us with.

It's almost like there wasn't a trapping ban on the ballot last month...
