Has anyone tried the Superlite in 30-06? Im wondering if the recoil will be too obnoxious in the light package. trying to decide between that and .308. (may be no perceptible difference)

I have the Superlite in 30-06. Recoil is certainly noticeable, but not so bad that it impacts my shooting. I think the real issue is that it is light up front so there is a little more barrel "whip" than I'm used to, which to me makes it seem like there is more recoil. Because of that it is a bit harder to hold steady. It also seems to be sensitive to what it is rested on. I just made the fore end of the stock a bit heavier by adding some steel BB's and epoxy. I only added a few ounces, but it makes a difference.
