I decided to give my new .308 a textured paint job to look a little less boring. For my first serious attempt at it I’m pretty happy.

Side note, these have to be about the best functioning rifles for the money on the market. It shoots absolutely lights out with the first load I tried.

I like the granite color stone texture also. That stone texture rattle can paint holds up remarkably well.
I gave it plenty of time between coats and started with self etching primer. It ended up being an almost full can of the stone, the green, and the clear coat to get good coverage. I think @JLS used a similar combo on his Kimber and when I handled it this fall it looked it was holding up great.

What’s the load? I have the ultralight (fluted barrel) version of the same gun and chambering. It shoots factory 150 ttsx about MOA (may be the operator).
