Here is my three year plan for western hunting. This plan includes my buddy, swede, my dad, and my 15 year old son. Swede and my son Hunter have never been out west so this is exciting for all of us. This fall, antelope or region w mule deer in Wyoming. There are a couple of guys that have expressed interest in antelope with me and if they can go it will be antelope, if not we will apply for mule deer and if we don't draw then it will be antelope in unit 20. Buy mule deer points if we do not draw this year, buy antelope points, buy elk points. Hunter and I will after this summer have two each for antelope and elk. Year two mule deer of we don't draw this year, region w, if we do draw then next year would be antelope. Year three elk, looking at unit 21 but also exploring other general units and maybe limited entry as by then Hunter and I will have three each, dad and swede will have 2, each. Also possibly looking into Idaho mule deer at some point. The reason for all Wyoming right now is his limited time out of school. I want to get him out there while he can still get reduced price on tags. Then I will probably start all over with my other two sons, who are 9 and 7. What do you think? Any suggestions would be appreciated as nothing is set in stone.
