This year or next?

Should I use my points this year on a 3rd season hunt or wait until next year to draw a better unit only in second season? This year would be a diy hunt. Next year would be a guided hunt with elk included

Colorado, right? Wait for combo hunt.

If you have enough time to do both tags justice, I'd do something else this year and do the combo next year. If you only have a week, I'd split them up and do one at a time. The problem with CO though is that even if you have the whole season, you get what.. 10 days?

Both are Colorado. This year would be the 3rd season deer. I know I can find deer no problem. I hunt the unit every year for elk. I have enough points to draw this year. Next year would have to be second season for deer as the area where the guide is requires a lot of points for 3rd. Obviously there is higher quality deer in the guided area but 2nd season is more difficult to hunt.
