This may really suck.

So AAC is closing up shop. Were they even around for more than a few years?

They competed in the lowest price point, lowest acceptable quality market. I could see how they are susceptible to component cost/availability but i'm not sure I buy 100% that it's as simple as they are making it out to be.

I didn't like the Biden admin trying to weaken Lake City production and dont like Federal, CCI, speer, blazer, etc being sold to a Czech conglomerate for our ammo security. That said, something about this article screams "After a decade of hoarding and panic buying, there's too much ammo sitting on shelves so we need to create more demand".

Edit to add: I was frustrated at first read that they didn't even name the manufacturer that was shutting down. Had to search separately to see that it was AAC they were referencing. The fact they didn't even name the "Major Ammo mfr" aligns with the article being an effort to spread FUD.
