They blend in so well

These guys blend in so well. This is the second one we saw and it shot right between my son’s feet. It came from the edge of the trail in those low weeds. The aspiring herpetologist was a bit "shook"

Probably one of the 3 most common snakes in KY and I have never seen a live one in my life! I spend more time turkey hunting then anybody. My grandfather hunted ginseng and transplanted plants, (don't tell anybody) he said I have been within 5' of copperheads hundreds of times and never knew it. He said they wont move and they blend in and you don't know they're even there
