Well I'm sure everyone has been shorted at a drive through burger joint a least once. I've been known to drive back through the drive through the wrong way for them to correct the order. Nothing peaves me more than being a block away and finding out that I've been shorted a burger or fries and I'm usually in a hurry with the kids to get some where on time. So we get a block away and no straws for 6 drinks. |oo Now I take it personal and my boys are egging me on," Let's get em Dad" and my bride is trying to cool me down before we arrive back at arches. I calmly stroll back inside and ask for the manager while I scan the customers for any kid around. No kids in sight. I explain to the manager my little delema of no straws and he says no big deal there's some over there by the end of the counter. :MAD I suggest that he has a training class with the staff and explain to them that the process should be 1 drink 1 straw. Not to hard of a mathmatical exam to follow simply 1 drink 1 straw. :BLEEP: On my way out I took a handful of straws, maybe a couple more than I needed, and headed out the door. I'm just closing the door of the truck and out comes said manager with his little note pad and pen in hand looking like an elemetary hall monitor. Did I mention I didn't like hall monitors either. I proceed to get back out and ask the pencil neck if I could assist him with his new found project which was appearantly taking down my plate number. Long and short of it is the dipstick personally took it upon himself to ban me from ever blessing the place with my presence again.
I'm not sure if he called the police or the police thought 10 straws for 6 drinks wasn't worth the paper work but all I've got to say to this fine dining
establishment is. hump

It sounds like you should write a letter to the Mcdonalds Corporation! The next thing that lil pencil neck will be writing is an apology to you!....that is if he want's to keep his job!

apparently you dont know that there is a unspoken rule of fast food drive through dining.......the maximum number of meals you can order is three, now they wont refuse to take the order of five or six but they will intentionally screw the order up either by shorting the order or adding a little "flavor" to the food.....good thing they have always shorted your order huh.

Thats one of the reasons I don't frequent those establishments. I was the same way. Wife and I stopped at a drive up, ordered, paid, and was told to park over there our order would be a couple of minutes. We didn't order anything special just menu items. We sat for several minutes, I got mad (imagine that) and went in, told them I wanted my money back, I paid for a meal that I didn't recieve. They informed me their policy was no refunds. I informed them that my policy was not to pay for items I didn't receive and since I broke my policy they could surely violate theirs. The manager explained that it was impossible for them to give my money back, if I would just be alittle more patient my meal would be ready in a couple of more minutes, that they were shorthanded at the moment. I told him I was not going to wait anymore, and wanted my $4 and change back or I was going to break something, that I thought was worth about that much on my way out. By the way how much is this cash register worth. By now my voice was pretty loud, and the look on my face must have convinced him I was serious. He opened the register and gave me my money back. That was a number of years ago. I haven't been to a Mikey D's since.

Powderburn, I have been barred from places before but never from a fast food joint. These places usually had nekkid womens dancing.

We just gave up on Blockbuster last night. A couple months ago we went in and were told we had late fees. We never return anything late so we were wondering what the heck was up with that. We paid it though and vowed to carefully watch it from there out.

Last night they told us we had late fees again. my husband specifically went out at 10PM in a snow storm to get that flick back "before midnight". :BLEEP: We've had it with these jokers. To bad I wasn't there with him last night. I'm the hell-raiser in the family. :D

Anyway, does anyone have any experience with Netflicks?

My sister-in-law uses Netflicks and loves them. She hasn't had any problems with them that I know of. I think it's well worth it if you rent a lot of movies. Since we rent a movie about once every two months, it's not worth it.

Oak

My brother in law swears by netflicks and never has had any problems. I'm in the same boat as Oak, I only reent a couple movies a month, so it isn't worth it for me. BTW, my wife is vicious whenever the fast food joint messes up an order. We went back through the drive thru once because we got old fires that were cold. I also have been forbidden to go to a certain chicken joint in town as they screwed up an order very badly and the manager basically said tough luck. I have many stories about order mistakes, it seems to be rampant in Alaska. The one that irked me the most was at (I guess I shouldn't say the name but it rhymed with "Paco Hell"). Anyway, I go to the drive thru and there is a long line, so I decide to go inside. There is only one person inside, so I order my stuff. When they give me my order, I notice that there is some things missing. I tell the guy, he checks my receipt and says that what was missing was never ordered by the other clerk, so I never paid for it. I say no problem, I'll pay for it now. He says I have to get back in line to do that and by now there are 6-7 people in line who had the same idea as me. I tell him thats ridiculous, blah, blah, blah. The manager comes over and will not help and says I have to get bakc in line. Needless to say, this place is now added to my list of places I won't go.

I had the same problem with Blockbuster. I joined and rented some two day movies. I rented them on a Friday evening, took them back Sunday afternoon. They were busy so I layed them on the counter, she acknowledged that I put the movies there, and I left. Two weeks later I get a late charge in the mail. I went down to clear it up, told them when I rented the movies, and when I turned them in. She informed me that lunch time was turn in time. I said fine, and paid the late fee, and put my membership card on the counter, and left. I was almost in the truck, when she come out, said you left your membership card. I explained I knew it, and I wouldn't be needing it anymore. She said Yes you will the next time you rent a movie you will need it. I explained that I would not be renting any more movies from Blockbuster. You told me two days, and you meant a day and a half. Two days would have been Sunday evening. She said thats our policy. I told her its my policy not to shop at rip off joints. Apparently Blockbuster dropped their late fees, and sent me a letter telling me so, and that I was a good and valued customer. I only rented two movies from them ever. They must not have a good customer base if I am good and valued.

Netflix rocks as long as you send the movies back as soon as you're done with them to make it worth the $$...and keep the queue full. Put new releases on the top of the queue before they're released and you'll often get them a day or two before the local Blockbuster does.

We used to belong to a Hollywood video and had late fee's added to our account because of 1 reason. They did not take our returns out of the box and log in them as returned until the next day. We only returned them face to face and stood there until they took them off the puter. :MAD

Oh oh block buster. Man thats a good one.

A long time ago we went to washington for my sisters wedding and I returned the videos before we went there.
so we come back into town 2 weeks later and I go to rent a few movies.

The guy at the counter says That I was over due 1 1/2 weeks on my movies.
I told them no tahts not true cause I was in montana and washingotn at that time.
so we can in this long out argument. and it esqulates.
He calls me a liar and the I get really pissed so I grabbed his little scrawny ass from behind the counter and put him in the front of it.
This way we were closer to talk.
I was calming down then he said the magic word. not only am I a liar but I am also a racist(sp), He said I wouldn't tbe arguing with him if he wasnt black. .
Luckly one of the kids that worked there I knew cause I was there everyday and he came and pulled the guy away cause it was starting to get pretty nasty. Call me a liar is one thing but when you call me racist and a liar in the same sentance your going to die.
He was transfer to another store the next day. I Never got bothered there for the overdue and they did take it off my account.

April can probally remember it better cause I am on happy pills and dont remember everything right now.

Yeah, my sister just makes people cry. I am not talking about QD, I am talking about my oldest sister (we shall call her ghost writer!!!) I dont know who is worse, her or my dad. One time a guy at Wal Mart told my dad that a DVD was wide screen and fullscreen, so my dad bought it. Well, my parents get home, pop in the DVD and it is only in widescreen. My dad goes back to Wl mart, tells the store manager what happened (that he was lied to) and short version of the story, we ended up with like 3 movies for free!!! My dad can tell y'all the extended version.

many of the service plazas on turnpikes have fast food places in them. i stopped in a burger king and overheard a guy telling the manager that he was overcharged for kids meals, the sign hanging on the wall said one price but the turnpikes jack up there prices to profit on convienience. the manager said that isnt our price here. in florida if you have a price posted you have to sell it for that price. the manager proceeded to tell him if he was to poor to pay that price he would give him all his money back.i was pissed i told him that i should whip his ass for the guy so he didnt have to make a bad influence on his kids :D
