Kansas has very few feral hogs compared to our neighbors to the south and east. Making pig hunting not legal seems to have disincentivized introduction of more pigs, and getting buy-in from land owners to allow wholesale trapping of entire sounders of pigs has kept the invasive pig population under 500 pigs for years.
