The gun I wish I hadn't sold

Only one I sold and truly regretted selling was a Beretta AL391 sporting DU gun I won at a banquet. I ended up buying a replacement years later.

Does size really matter?
4” barrel will make my hands look bigger.

Actually, I just have kind of settled on 3”-4” revolvers because they are handier for me to have on my belt. The 5.5” is my dream Redhawk that I wanted since I was a teenager. Bought one in my late twenties and just wish I had bought the 4” after shooing several hundred rounds through it.

My dad’s Remington Model 31 12 gauge. With a mounted scope. Throughout my life it was a whitetail killing machine.

Long story short. My dad died in 2011 from brain cancer. In my clouded judgment, I took all of his guns except this one. I gave it to the family that introduced my dad and myself to hunting. Fast forward and all of the old school folks passed away shortly after.

I just hope it’s being treated well. I’ve thought about reaching out to the remaining wife to see if I can buy it back.

Still, classy gesture.
