Thanks everyone for your comments. I have been working on a euro mount for this buck. It was placed on the wall tonight.

The photo didn't turn out very well. The skull isn't dark behind the antlers.

I'm already making plans for next year. Hopefully I can leave the flu bug behind and hike the high country.

I just now saw this, Paul. Very flattered and humbled at the kind comments you have made and your appreciation of the message we try to convey.

Very happy to see the results of your efforts and how sticking with it provided you with meat, memories, and most likely, even more insight as to why hunting can be so rewarding. Congrats on a fine deer. Whatever was ailing you on that hunt, I hope it is long since past.

Paul - Thank you for posting - I find that the hunts I remember best are the ones where I am proud of what I did with the hand I was dealt. This is one to be proud of.
