Im airing out and repaking my tent and noticed the rain fly feels a little tacky or sticky. Is there something I should wipe it down with? Its only been used a couple times and never in bad weather. Mostly just packed away.Is there a proper way to store tents as in temp and humidity? Thanks.

I have a collection of tents from the 70's up to modern. Sticky rainflies weren't such a problem with vintage tents as it is with modern. Something in the new waterproofing really sucks. With older tents I can gently soak it in febreeze rinse, extend it out to dry, and all is good.
However, with some modern tents that doesn't always work and you may have to apply baby powder to it, or some other powdered chalk.
