Sad situation, but glad to see she's not the one in a body bag. I hope my wife has it in her to do the same if ever happened in our home.

I'm sure that will haunt her for a long time. But she can justify it herself more so this way as protecting herself and the baby. I'm just gad that she had the weapons and knew how to use them.

I'm gone a lot on the road and my wife is the same way. If anyone comes in the door they better have armor on, or be superman. We have even told the kids if they come to visit, call or knock. don't just walk on in. There are shady dealings not far from us and we take no chances. I

My wife scares the Bee Geez out of me. I love her to death, but she walks around with rose colored glasses on from the days of Ozzie and Harriet. She cannot understand how I could take a life if somebody kicked my door and came inside. She says possessions are not worth a persons life. Okay, sweetheart what are you going to do if the grandkids are having a sleep-over? Stand there and try to reason with some deranged person. No reasoning with her and is so damned frustrating. I just hope to hell it never happens.

You gotta be pretty stupid to go after someone with a knife, and break into their house in the process.

Another case of "never do more than one stupid thing at a time". It'll gicha every time.

Hopefully this teaches more people that when you go to break into someone home you assume the risk of getting blown away.

Too damn bad she didn't shoot the other one as well. I am sure he is also a walking advertisement for pro-choice also. My prayers go out to her while dealing with this and the loss of her husband in such a short time.

I really feel for that young woman, to cope with the tragedy of losing her husband and then this must put a terrible strain on her mental health, but she still has something to live for, her child.

This is the UK equivalent

Up to very recently the law was on the side of the intruder, the householder could get prosecuted if the burglar hurt himself gaining access to your property, for example cutting himself on a wire fence, but things have changed, within 4 months in Manchester 3 burglars have been killed by the householder and no charges brought.

Cheers

Richard

Gene pool bleach....glad she used it. I'm with gold tip on using it on the other one as well.

Hopefully my wife remembers where the pistol is, because if something goes down there is only room for one of us under the bed.
