Has anyone used and hunted with the Swift Scirocco ll bullets? Can you elaborate on the bullets performance and accuracy in your experience

A friend of mine used the first generation Scirocco in an .06 180 grain for years. Deer, elk, antelope and bears. I don't doubt the second gen is any different. mtmuley

Yep. I was there for a lot of the kills. mtmuley

I shot a bull elk with a .30 cal. 165 grain Scirocco 11 at a little over 500 yards through both lungs and it exited. The bull walked 3 or 4 steps and stopped behind a tree so I couldn't shoot again and after a few seconds he fell and rolled down the hill. That was with a 300 RUM starting around 3400 fps. I could never get them to shoot as well as some other bullets in my rifle but plenty good enough to hunt with. I think they are pretty tough bullets, but any bullet would have killed that elk hit in the same place.
