swamp seats

Hello Hunt Talk,

I am looking for a good duck hunting seat. I hunt mostly in swamps, but i sometimes hunt on the banks. I am wondering if there is a cheap homemade option or should i buy a cheap stool?

A cheap home made version ive used is 2 4x4s screwed together like a T. Cut the bottom to a point so it sticks in the mud. Loop a rope around it so you can carry it on your shoulders. But I will tell you that I bought a marsh seat from cabelas and it is more comfortable.

I have a banded seat I bought at cabelas it swivels and has a backrest and nice padded seat. I use it duck hunting and in my deer blinds.

I used homebrew wooden 2x4's with a plywood seat for years, but I picked up a Cabela's Northern Flight swamp stool on CL for about $15 and used it for about half the season (which down here in CA, is about 45 days). This butt will NOT be sitting on wood any longer, it's way better.
