Success on a Roe Buck

Taking shots like me now? ;) Well done, and nice job sharing the wealth!
Yes I learnt from you :D

Edit, to be fair it was @leec270 who introduced me to the quad sticks I use, no good for hauling up a mountain, but perfect for hunting coyotes/lowland hunting, forget the bipod, they are good out to around 200 yards I kid you not.

Cheers

Another successful evening, the wheat had just been cut and I looked across the valley to see this buck, a doe, and a single red hind feeding.
In my experience, see a red hind feeding on her own this time of year without a calf in tow there is something wrong, possibly very old, or maybe even has TB.
Anyway, I knocked the buck over, a bit cheeky as I used the combine harvester to obscure me as I sneaked up, the .243 did the job again, mainly because it's the only 'deer legal calibre' I own at the moment, hopefully a .308 will be added in the near future.
This one is being enjoyed by a couple of pensioners in my village.
Cheers
Richard
