Ok, maybe a silly question. What do you do with the extra grindings that are left over in the bottom of the stuffer that you cannot get into the sausage casing? I have tried using bread in the grinder to clear out most of the left over meat but the only thing I have come up with for the stuffer is to disassemble it and remove the meat and stuff the left over into the sausage casing by hand using the round end of a big serving spoon. Any better ideas ? I'm using a 15 lb LEM stuffer, hand crank and it works fairly well. I have just simply cooked the remaining meat on the stove in a frypan to get an early sample of the product but its not the same as smoking it.

I patty it up and have it for my next meal or use it in something that .I would use bulk sausage for. You also manually feed it into your stuffing tube but I have had mixed results with that so I jusy cook it up and put a chew on it.
