I'm not sure where this would go because it's not exactly fishing, nor is it exactly hunting. What it was is fun. In my youth I spent nearly my every free minute fishing. However, once I got a drivers license I became a hunting fanatic and fishing more or less got shelved. I go ocassionally but I'm far from an avid fisherman. With that said, I have a buddy that's been trying to get me to try spear fishing for norhtern pike for years now. I finally broke down and tried it last week. I was suprised how much I enjoy it. It was just like hunting. You use a decoy to bring the fish in. The outcome is always uncertain when the fish appears. You might spook it, it might just swim off before you can get the spear in the water. You might miss or you may hit it, but have it pull off before you can get it out of the hole. When the fish first appears I found my heart starting to race just like when I'm hunting and have spotted the game I'm after. I like the rush. I think I could learn to really like this spear fishing.

One more. Except for the small one all the fish were between 5 to 10.5 pounds.

Nice fish Troy. I have only been spearing once, and we saw nothing in the northern department. Interesting polish television though.
