spotting scope question

ok, i need a lil help here. i was wondering if you guys think there is any difference in quality between a 2003 or 2004 swarovski 80mm hd 20x60 and a current model? the guy wants 1600 for it and it seems like a great deal. any input is appreciated. thanks, rob

Not sure if there's a glass difference aside from the easier to clean coatings. Newer ones do have a magnesium body though and are a couple ounces lighter. Sounds like a good deal for sure.
