Getting ready to toss out a chunk of change and i only want to cry once. Im down to leica apo-televid 82 or a swaro. If i go the swaro route I'm thinking the ats 80. Is it worth spending the extra grand to go the atx route with the swarm? My only thought was i could potentially down the road get different objectives with the Atx but even then I doubt i would buy one for a long time.

I got an STS 65 last year and don’t think I will ever regret it. Very packable and clarity is amazing. I got the wide angle 25-50 eyepiece. I have video on my phone of a mule deer buck at 1000 yards that looks like he’s at about 50yrds after I further zoomed in with my phone. Saved a good chunk of money vs the 80 and size and weight and i believe it will get the job done for me no matter what hunts are in the future. I did do a side by side with a friends STS 80 with a 20-60 eyepiece and couldn’t see a justifiable difference between the 2. Either way you go, you won’t be disappointed with a Swarovski!
