Sow bears and boo boos - let's see them.

I had this bear & a nice boar coming in. When this one came in, I thought it was the big boar. Damn, these things are tough to judge! I'm just glad she didn't have cubs.

However, we had a scare & thought she did because as we were getting ready to skin her, a cub very close by scampered up a tree! Our hearts sank!! It turned out there was another sow in the area. She forced her cub up the tree when she saw us & she ran about 50 yards the opposite direction where she stopped to evaluate the situation. Attached is a pic of that sow & her cub in the tree.

@thecrittergitter once shot a sow, was mildly harassed by FWP, and I sure had fun with it.

So been browsing Rokslide's annual bear threads. Some real nice bears, and a plethora of real tiny ones and funny pics. One comment, "this one had a really cool mohawk". In other words - it's entire body was totally rubbed of hair, except for this stripe right down the middle of it's back.

Did find this excellent taxidermy pic.. "just going for the rustic look"

I don’t mind bear meat it usually becomes sausage. My favourite part is being trigger happy and shooting the first bear I see lol
