Got the wood fitted up, now time to shape everything up. Once the forend gets close to final shape I'll drill it for the escutcheon. I still need to cut the butt to length and mount the pad and grip cap.

Whoever this possibly could be going to is getting a fine rifle. Good work thus far

Still some fine tuning on the inletting, but the forend is just about fitted.

I am a wood and blue steel Guy. With that said in stainless steel I would have stuck with The original stock or composite stock for an all weather rifle.
But I would love to have you new wood stock on a Blue Steel Ruger # 1 and Ruger always used the best steel as even in Blue Steel they were very rarely rusted.
