We use them at work. They are Amazon models, about $60-70 for the charger panel and pigtail connector. Takes about 10 minutes to install and they seem to work well.Nothing posted on this topic since 2018. Anyone have a review of a cheap solar trickle charger for my truck which is rarely driven? Exactly the feed back I wanted. Thanks to you both.Got one for my FIL for xmas cause he has lots of toys n trucks with batteries that sit. Should have bought him 5 more lol. He uses it a lot and doesnt leave it one toy like I thought he might, hence why he needs more. He takes it along on any trip where he may need to prevent the battery from dying - boating, off-roading, camping trips.
I got one for him off Amazon that was 20 watts of solar, with an upgraded MPPT charge controller. Cost around $50-60.
I bought one from harbor freight to charge my dump trailer batteries. They work just fine to keep them up and maintained.Nothing posted on this topic since 2018. Anyone have a review of a cheap solar trickle charger for my truck which is rarely driven? Thanks in advance.
This solar charger plugs into 12 v port in the truck interior. Don't even have to leave the cab or open the hood. Truck battery is of unknown condition, less effective in cold temps. Solar charger has helped w that. Plus the charger goes from vehicle to vehicle simply.Actually, you could have just disconnected the negative battery cable. Takes about 30 seconds and stops all the vampires from suckin’ it dry. I do that with our RV when not using it. (Actually have a cut-off switch on the (-) cable.
Sorry I didn’t see this thread sooner - could have saved you a few bucks.
