Well today was probably the slowest duck hunting day I have ever had, but I still had a fun day.
I got to the boat launch early and beat three yea-whos from Kansas to the spot I wanted to hunt. Hind site, whoopty-doo. Anyway, after getting the decoys out I got to watch a great sunrise.
I had a couple of opportunities at gadwall and shovelors, but wanted to hold out for cans and greenheads. Unfortunately, only one mallard came by, but he paid the price. Here is a shot of Axl giving chase.
Not a very good killing day, but a great day none-the-less.
By the way, Axl got his bird.
