Me and 3 coworkers are up a tree with 3 customers in Kansas. Trying to catch up with Big Hank. Will keep you posted with pics... maybe some commentary from camp.

I got some work calls out of the way at lunch, then tried a stand across the river. First grunt sequence put this guy inside 15 yards.

Congratulations to the lucky hunter. Here's hoping you all score.......just don't shoot MY BUCK!! :)

You and your client may want to view the tagging guidelines for Kansas, as the tag needs to be attached to a hind leg to be in line with their instructions. The link below will show how to electronically check in your deer, and shows the "approved" manner of attaching a tag to your deer:

Buddies are back in our old spot in eastern Kansas. Tops blowing off right now. Jerry texted me all morning and went like this...6 pt, 7 pt, 8 pt, 13 pt. Y’all should kill some great ones. Good luck.

Thanks KD.... noted, we will get an tagged right.

On the plus side, they are getting bigger. 2 for 7 on day 1... fingers crossed tomorrow is my day.

11.5 hours in the stand today with one more to go, and this was the only buck I saw in daylight.

The "Land of Ahs" is being nice to your traveling hunter group. Hope it happens for you as well.

Managed to grunt this one in at last light, but still no shooters for me. Tomorrow I am headed to the land if giants! Wish me luck!

You guys are having a good time! Love hunting in Kansas during this time of year, it can leave you speechless at times. You guys have taken some bruisers, please take kansasdad's advice about tag placement, they'll have game check stations up and down I-35 and I-70 and won't cut you any slack for having a tag in the wrong place. Good luck fellas and hope to see some more Kansas bruisers hit the ground!
