For the stock issue, it really isn’t that hard to shorten the LOP. Take your time .

Hard to say. It might. You could always drill out the stock and add some weight if that is a concern.

My Beretta has 26” barrels, and I can pretty well guarantee Beretta doesn’t make different stocks for the 28” models.
