I took my kids out this weekend to something new. We ran trotlines on the local river. Found a good slough and strung two lines across. Ran them twice a day Saturday and Sunday then pulled them on Monday. We also did some pole fishing. By the end of the weekend we had four flathead and 16 channels along with a few rough fish. Biggest was a 5.5lb channel.
