I got a chance to shoot a buddies M77 .22 LR over the weekend. It's a nice little gun! I'm sorta looking for one if the price is reasonable. I want the Sporter barrel and not the heavy.

I got a couple replies from well known members here but they never followed through. Someone will have one reasonably priced. A private sale won't have all the additional fees associated with a GB sale.

Rifle shoots great with cheap ammo. Rifle barrel has exterior bubbling. Action looks good. Called ruger and they will reblue rifle for 150 bucks. Just haven't had time I picked up a green mountain barrel that I'll sell with thr rifle for 90$. Rings also included. Scope not included 850...

Yep, I was in contact with the guy and asked him for a call a couple times and he went ghost. Oh well. Someone will come up with something. I'm in no hurry.

Bass Pro/Cabela's has a handful listed in their online used gun library in the $1000-$1200ish range and you can have it shipped to a local store for free.

My gun room is full of stuff while remodeling in the basement. I need to get the 77-22 out and see what scope it has, then I can give you a price.

It is in perfect condition, not shot since the early 90's, then Dad passed.

I'm not too concerned about the scope. It will probably end up with a Redfield 6x wide view. It's my favorite squirrel shooting scope.

I think I bought my daughter's for something ridiculous like $179 when they first came out. Very accurate, but the posts saying ~$1K are correct unless someone just wants to do you a good deed, as we do here from time to time.

There's a Winchester Model 52 on LRH for around $700. Just sayin'

I have the 22LR, dreaming about getting the 22 WMR.


I watch them on Gun Broker all the time. I have never seen one bring less than $1000
