Ruger .204

yes i have one in a cheap H&R with bb it is a flat shooting gun. took a groundhog at 150yd. didnt even move after it was hit .left i heck of a hole

gep50 I'm also looking at one, how would it be for coyotes? I'm thinking that it might be a little small but would like your thoughts.

I have a 204 in Savage Mod 12 VSS. It works very well for coyotes. I have taken over 10 coyotes with it, and even a couple red fox. Only had an exit wound twice, one a coyote and one on a fox. With the coyote it was sticking its head out from behind a small pile of rocks and would not move so I shot it in the neck, hitting on of the vertabre and left a exit hole about the size of a quarter. With the fox, it was a head shot, entered just below the right eye and left a small hole about the size of a nickel in its neck.

All of these were using Hornady V-Max 40gr. :D

Hears a couple of critters taken with the 204:D

Thanks coyoteblaster for your pictures and knowledge. Looks like the proof is in your pictures. I like the fact that you say they don't blow out the other side. Thanks for your info.

if you see the hole it puts in a ground hog which is a tough critter to kill you will not have any problem with a coyote. mine shoots the same at 130 yd as at 230 and would not be afraid at a 350 to 400 shot .it seem at that far the bullet still fragments.
