Ruby Mountain Deer Hunt Video

Awesome hunt, love it up there. Harvested my first archery buck in Rubies. Hunted area 6 this year. Thanks for sharing.

The Ruby's are some great country, it is also very tough to hunt. We see tons of bucks every year and have lots of encounters where we almost connect with a buck. Hopefully our persistence will eventually pay off.

Thanks for posting the link. Very nice country. Makes me wish I was there with you.

That was a awesome video nothing to ashamed about when you hunt that hard.

Awesome hunt and beautiful video! It's crazy that those tags are usually always OTC!

Pomeranian...LOL...I think the type of horse that you were looking for was palomino. Awesome video!

Wait, you mean they have tags left up there? Gorgeous country for sure and not too far from me either. Guess I'll have to do a little digging on this one. Doesn't look to be near the circus that the Front is here in Utah lol

Every year there are leftover tags after the first drawing. Any tags leftover after the second drawing are available to anyone on a first come first served basis, resident or non-resident.
It is very tough hunting but you will have opportunities if you put in the effort.
Keep in mind this is only for archery.

That's the only option I would be interested in. We do a ton of miles every year in the backcountry so I would love the challenge of hunting the Rubies. There's just something about that high, lonely backcountry.

Great pics, thanks for sharing. That's not Nevada...there's no casinos lol. Least that's what a lot of people would say.
