Whitetail doe all de boned and bagged for the pack out. 125 yards with the Smith and Wesson PC 44 mag. 240 Sierra. Frontal shot, exit strait to the rear. Shot was taken with the Holland field bag on top a fence post. Bang flop. Forgot the before pictures....it was cold

this was on a Wyoming walk in area.

For quite a while here in Indiana, legal firearms for deer hunting were muzzleloaders, shotguns, and handguns. The handguns could be in high powered rounds. As a result, handgun hunting became somewhat disproportionately popular for a spell, both scoped revolvers and also single shots like those from Thompson Center.

Restrictions here have become more lax in recent years, leading to a shift to your typical rifle offerings.
