Remember, remember

The fifth of November
The gunpowder treason and plot.
I know of no reason
The Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.

Its Guy Fawkes Day (bonfire night) in England today. Decided to do a special lesson about it today for my 7th graders. I've always found it an interesting historical event, and who doesnt like a good bonfire?

A teacher wanting to teach history, seems a novel concept, well done!

The series is great! My wife has a hard crush on Guy!

Guy Fawkes is EOD operators' "mascot" in Canada and the UK. I've always thought it weird that the first failed terrorist was our poster child...

But thanks to him, we normally take an extended break and eat cake on Nov 5th, which is what we're doing later.
