I have a model 1894 Winchester in 25-35 with a serail number 175186, so about 1899? I had it checked out by a gun smith and said it is in shootable condition. Is anybody reloading on of these and your recommendations.
I have and shoot a model 94 25/35 (saddle ring carbine) that was manufactured in 1907. I inherited it from my grandfather.
I shoot 107gr cast bullets with a copper gas check. They were given to me by a retired government trapper up here that I took over for when he retired 26 years ago.
Remember to only use round nose or flat point bullets. 117gr Hornady round nose jacketed bullets shoot well also, but there's something romantic about shooting cast bullets in a 100+ year old lever gun...
