I’ve also shot elk with the 199 HH (before the tipped version came out) and it left a blood trail that looked like it had gone down with a paint roller.

Walked by the same spot 3 days later and you could see the blood trail from 800 yards away with the naked eye.

I know, trend line of 1/small sample size etc, but I’m a fan.

That’s perfect! I’m a big fan of blood trails. I’m so color blind that it takes a good blood trail for me to see it unless I’m down on all fours touching everything that looks to me like a drop of blood.
I’d rather hear about your actual sample size results than take it from a “stranger” .

308 terminal ascent 175 at 85 and 125 yards shoulder hits, both ended off shoulder just in side the hide.
