Rare Sharps cartridge?

Metal detecting with the family last weekend and found this shell casing that I can’t identify. 1.90” long, .51” dia. No visible headstamp that I can see. Every thing else we found in the area was from probably the 1930’s or so, and this was at the same site, buried the same depth, so I would guess it’s probably around that age or older.
Any ideas?

After a lot of internet searching I believe I found a reference to it here.
A “.50 Sharps 2inch”
Appears I’ve found something rare here…

Nice find, You may want to contact Shiloh Rifle and C. Sharps , both in Big Timber, MT both manufacture sharps rifles today. Awesome rifles
 
Looking through my Handloaders Manual of Cartridge Conversions, it looks like your casing may be a 50-70 Meynard (1873).

The pictures I can find online of those appears to show a wider rim on the base. The rim diameter on this one is .62" Length I got 1.91" but that might not be perfectly accurate due to the condition of it.
