I am not at all familiar with Picatinny/Weaver rail systems nor some of the accessories that attach to them.
I just rerigged my muzzleloader with a "peeprail" which is scoperail with a rear peep sight. The peep sight is great and stays compliant with having iron sights during muzzleloader season in Colorado.

What I'm wondering is could I mount a scope using quick release scope rings and dismount/remount the scope and have it maintain zero? If that works, I have a spare scope that I could mount and use the muzzy for regular rifle season without spending a lot of time and ammo at the range just getting it resighted.
Or should I use my trust 7mm Mag for regular rifle and be done with it?
Thoughts?
