Question

I know this is very basic but just curious. Never been elk hunting but watching this Born and Raised Outdoors Land of the Free videos and after they shoot an elk they cowcall always. I assumed to stop the elk to get another shot in it if possible. But then they’d bugle even after the elk left the area. What is the point of bugling and calling after the elk has run off? I am sure this is super simple but can’t figure it out.
