Puppy pic. thread

Not all are "puppies" but I've been hanging out with a friend both hunting and training his dogs. Also some pics of other dogs at some Hunting Retriever Club training days as well.

Kiddo pointed her first group of sharptail the other day (not many in my area). She didnt put too much pressure on them and pinned them really great - like winter sharptail do, they flushed as I closed the gap (can pin them for clean flush with a falcon in the air but I am not flying at the moment). Been finding lots of huns - if weather stays mild and we have a decent spring there may be a bumper hatch like there was back in 2015/16 (I think it was that winter, may have been one prior). Decent numbers this year, but the past 2 winters have been DIRE as far as hun numbers go.

Here is a hun point the other day.

Another update on Tikka, now 8 months old.

Second shed she’s found all on her own. Last year’s antler.

She was proud of it and I was proud of her

Really looking forward to shed hunting this spring, training through summer, and her first real waterfowl hunts in the fall/winter.

First bird dog. 7 week old English Setter. Jake was a great dog. And my son’s golden retriever. 4 months old and the only shed he had seen was a chew toy. Pleasantly surprised when he came out of the bushes with a new chew toy. He was sure proud of himself.
