Pump Rifles

I had a 742 auto loader in 30-06 for years and was very fast with a Williams hunting peep BUT would jam too often and could not take to PA. Traded it for 7600 pump with plastic stock (with recoil pad). As my eyes aged out I now use a 2x7-42 on top. It is a fast accurate gun. In the woods I use 180 grn SP Corelokts which are not as easy to find as the PSP but are great for brush and closer shots. Have taken deer from 30 feet out to 250+ yards. A previous post mentioned that they are tough to clean. After I clean mine I oil the barrel as usual but use Remington Dri Lube on the entire bolt mechanism (a carry over from the 742 cleaning). Leaves behind a whiteish slick film that does not "gum" up.
