Public Land Trail Cam Etiquette

[Treeshark]

I’m generally not opposed to a little vigilanteism here and there, but stealing/damaging stuff that’s not yours ain’t it.

If it’s not yours, don’t mess with it (showing cheeks/peen to the cam is acceptable if one feels so compelled).

My heart isn't bitter. No pity for thieves. None. mtmuley

Same, im just being a little sarcastic cause Jack seems to have an axe to grind on this topic.

A thief is a thief. They are all the same to me.

Yep. Public land or not if you take something that is not yours you are a thief. mtmuley

So @mtmuley would leave the High Life in the creek. Unless it was in a bottle.

Ethics come into play here. And soul searching. mtmuley

I have climbed up into ladder stands on public ground many times. I am not going to damage anything, just sit for a while. Of course, if someone shows up and says I'm in their stand I would climb down and leave.

I guess I just never notice them, but if I did, there would definitely be a full moon to view for the owner.

I am not sure why everyone is so sensitive about that these days but I still find mooning to be very classy and always necessary!

A close up moon after elk hunting for a week could really scar someone.

Single serving dude wipes are game changing!

PSA to everyone. Game cams are called camera traps by biologists and are used for a great many things. I used them to count anglers and boats at a public launch before. Wardens use them to deter or catch poachers and littering. They can be used to estimate populations, map migration corridors, determine crop depredations, scout capture locations and guage public use of an area. These cameras are often labeled only on the inside as labeling them on the outside is a sure fire way for them to get shot.

So before doing something obscene in front of a camera think of the poor technician or biologist going through those pictures.

Obviously no one has seen an inverted moon… it’s a Root thing. Maybe MTmuley has.
