Practicing bear defense shooting

The movie Revenant bear charge is probably close to what you can expect. Watching it, how accurate shots could you get off even with 10MM? Or how many prayers?

We’ve had 2 Bears jump out of the brush when hunting, both ran the other way. After the fact, partner said the bear was lucky it didn’t come towards us. I still laugh at that. Had that bear come our way his hand wouldn’t have even made it to his pistol before that bear was chewing on his liver.
