Left to my own devices this weekend, wife is away for a girls weekend running the NYC marathon. When the grocery store has a 16 oz strip steak marked down, it's an easy choice for dinner. Did an hour on the smoker then seared black and blue on grandma's cast iron.

Thanks. Yes, proud of her. I joke with her that this is her 6th, last marathon.
The youngest and I are driving up tomorrow to cheer for her and catch some sights in NYC.

Fried some Rockfish and had some tater tots that the granddaughter is too young to eat. Only ate half of the filet so I could save room calorie-wise for a slice of pumpkin pie!
