Got out this morning for two stands before wind picked up. First stand was a dud. Second stand opened up with a howl and was answered right away with a deep howl. Threw back a high pitched challenge howl and he immediately challenged me back. Minute or two goes by and I challenge him again. He fires up considerably closer so I cut him off mid howl with another howl. He came flying in hackles raised. 40 grain nosler in the chest at 75 yards dumped this big male. Now off to sous vide a small prime rib and do some reloading. Back out again tomorrow hopefully.
